A Greener Apple

I got this from my mate Wayne's blog - a new Greenpeace marketing campaign to get Apple Computers to create a more "green" product. Seems that while the whole First World is going iPod mad, the Third World is getting iPod poisoning ... Apple still use highly toxic chemicals and products in their systems which are eventually exposed not to the people with cash who buy them, but to the kids on the scrap heaps who scavange for parts to try and sell. Apple also recently rated very poorly on the Greenpeace scorecard.

I don't personally use a Mac, and this isn't a Mac-bashing whinge or anything like that. Just seems dumb to me that a company that sells itself as the "innovator" of the computer industry finds itself in the stone-age of corporate responsibility ... or is it just me? If not, then why not see how you can be involved. There's also a cool little video e-card you can send around (published in Flash Video of all things!)

Killer site! Thanks for the link to the video. Not bad, though what's with those jeans on the Mac guy? He's supposed to be way fly, but he's wearing his dad's army navy surplus.
