The Force was not with him. He is Darth Idiot, a local who decided that it might be a good idea to rob some petrol stations early one morning. Rather than pull a Jedi mind-trick on the shop assisstant, he thought that simply showing up in his Sith t-short and shorts would provide all the distraction he needed.

One shop assisstant suggested later that he and his colleagues should come to work dressed as Luke Skywalker to make it more of a challenge for the Dark Lord of the Cashbox.
