Time magazine's 'Person of the Year' is You

If you've ever contributed to a blog, responded to a post, added video to You-Tube, or become someone's friend on MySapce ... congratulations! You have just become Time magazine's Person of the Year. Apparently they feel that the effort that we have all gone to in changing the information era through user-created content is amazing, and they want to give us all a big warm fuzzy.

I actually just wrote a whole bit here about how crap I actually think sites like You-Tube and MySpace are (for many reasons) but I decided to leave it out since it may have come across a little hypocritical that I was raving on about my angst over most user-generated content on a blog!

So instead I will simply say that this Time Magazine Person of the Year would like to thank God, his mum and dad, his wife and kids, the many fans out there, and of course Tim Berners-Lee for without whom none of this would be possible.
